1 · Saving profiles on Instagram

I’ll be using the JTBD framework to introduce the ideas.

The Job:

As a user who uses social media to keep in touch with my friends and family, I want to save a profile I found that I might need in the future. Such as a shop, a master, a location, a product, a business partner, etc. Or the profile I want to track without following.
I validated the job with my friends and the job is highly requested.

The current solutions to the job:

1. My friends save one of the profile’s posts to Saved.

2. Follow the profile.

3. Share the link to Notes, Pinterest, or other services they use.

Problems:

• It is not worth following a profile that has lots of content just to get back to the profile in the future just once. The amount of content annoys and they unfollow or mute the profile eventually. This leads to losing the profile at all.

• They lose the profile’s post among the Saved posts.

• Saving to Notes or other handy services is most useful but still, the profiles get lost and they lack interactivity.

The IG solution I suggest:

2 · Mixing music in TikTok

I am not sure if it is legal but I lack this functionality.

The Job:

• As a TikTok user, I want to not only mix videos but also mix music, allowing each segment of a slideshow to be accompanied by a different song.

• I would also like to use a few songs when the song I like is too short.

• Also, I want to DJ sometimes.

The current solutions to the job:

• Scroll the feed to look for a different, longer song to finish the video.

• Edit video and music in a side app.

Problems:

The sounds are short sometimes and I give up creating the video because I wasn’t able to manage the music or to find a suitable and long enough one.

The TT solution I suggest:

3 · Importing playlists from other apps to Spotify

I’ve been planning to switch to Spotify for 7 years already. I could have paid 1 008$ to Spotify. But one thing stops me: I don’t want to recreate the playlists.

To be fair, I did have a trial, I did start to create new playlists. But I didn’t have enough motivation to go on. Thus I simply didn’t get activated:

The Job:

• I want to be on the same wavelength with my friends who are using Spotify.

• I also want to have clever algorithms but do not have time to teach them.

The current solutions to the job:

• I continue to use my music platform because I have playlists there and the algorithms are trained.

Problems:

• I don’t have time to move all the music from one music platform to another so I stay with my old app.

The Spotify solution I suggest:

ChatGPT perfectly works with the task of recognizing the text from the image.

So I suggest adding an AI recognition of the songs from the list and forming a Playlist from it:
